I STUMBLED ON THIS PLACE BY CHANCE A FEW YEARS AGO AND EVEN THOU I HAVE TO DRIVE ONE HOUR AND A HALF TO GET TO THIS PLACE, THE FOOD IS WELL WORTH IT IN MY BOOK. BRAUN HAS BEEN IN BUSINESS FOR OVER 70YEARS. THIS PLACE STARTED OUT AS AN OYSTER PROCESSOR IN 1928 AND IN 1958 THEY STARTED TO SELL SEANSONAL SEAFOOD LIKE SWORDFISH, STRIBBASE ETC. YOU CAN FIND FRESH LOBSTER, SCALLOPS, CRABS, MUSSELS, CLAMS, AND OYSTERS ETC. WHENEVER I GO THERE MY FAVORITES ARE MUSSELS, CLAMS AND OYSTER, IT SEEM TO BE ALWAYS FRESH. THE FISH IS STORE DIRECTLY IN A FREEZER, AND CUT IN A COOLER SITUATION, IT’S KEPT FRESH. BRAUN SEAFOOD IS NOW THE LEADING SEAFOOD DISTRIBUTOR ON THE EAST END OF LONG ISLAND. THE HAVE A MODERN REFRIGATED FLEET OF 25 FLEET, HAS 45,000 CU. FT OF FREEZER CAPACITY, 20,000 CU FT. OF COOLERS AND A 15,000-POUND LOBSTER HOLDING SYSTEM.
